Meteorologist krystal klei has the details for us. We have issued a first alert for tropical impacts due to hurricane jose. Were going to start this monday evening but last through early thursday morning. Though were starting to feel the impacts already today due to the fact were in a high rip current risk. For the next several days straight, and thats the big deal. We are looking at high surf, high rip current risks, minor coastal flooding possible and some beach erosion especially those areas more prone to this occurring. We want to warn people these are not good days at the shore. Lets look at our tropical satellite. This is hurricane jose. Still a category 1 hurricane. A different location than yesterday. The normal high for this time of the year is 78. Were showing 70. Its a warm morning around the delaware and the Lehigh Valleys. 68 to the north, 70s along the coast, millville at 64. We have patchy fog popping up just like what we saw yesterday at the same time. Lancaster, 4 miles. Millville looks like youre socked in pretty good, less than a laugh mile. Jersey shore youre in the clear. Satellite and radar were starting out with a couple of clouds upstairs we have partly cloudy skies right now. During the course of the day similar to yesterday youll see puffy cumulus clouds build and one or two areas a brief spotty shower. I dont think much rain will fall at all. Most of us stay dry. It should pass by Atlantic City 200 to 225 miles east of Atlantic City by tuesday arch. It will bring some impacts to the jersey shore, but far enough to keep the majority of the storm out to sea and impact the canadian maritimes. As we look at the wind field you can see how lopsided the storm is. The Tropical Storm force winds extend outward to the east 150 miles. They are about 75 to 100 miles to the west. Always the storm travels to the north, most of the winds stay out to sea. Nonetheless this is what to expect down the shore.
