Bengaluru-based startup KaleidEO Space Systems, owned by SatSure Analytics India, has joined the ranks of a select few Indian private companies. They achieved this by independently designing, developing, and successfully testing a high-resolution optical earth observation payload from the ground up.
Spacetech startup Pixxel appoints William McCombe as new CFO. McCombe previously held the position of CFO at Velo3D and has experience in space and technology hardware companies like Maxar. As Pixxel s CFO, McCombe will oversee accounting, financial planning, capital raising, and more.
He joins Pixxel with extensive experience as a Chief Financial Officer at various space and technology hardware companies, most notably Maxar, the largest US space imaging company and Velo3D, an industry leader in metal 3D printing systems for aerospace, defence and other industries.
Ahmed said Pixxel aims to launch six 100-kilogramme satellites, named Fireflies, by June, and add another 12 next year to monitor in over 250 spectral bands at five-metre spatial resolution the highest in commercial hyper-spectral satellites.
