The following school districts have announced closures or delays for Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023:
Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is observed Monday, has prompted some holiday closures.

Peter Vlaming, who worked as a French teacher at West Point High School, said he was fired in 2018 because he would not use pronouns such as “him” and “his” to refer to a female student who was transitioning to male.
