Regarding new study showing that the 112th congress, even though they just wrapped up, looking back at the impact, the most polarizing ever. the democratic caucus got more liberal this past congress, a lot of blue dogs and conservative southern dems lost the seats in the 2010 elections. around 1976, the republican caucus shifted and grew rapidly more conservative and has continued to do so ever since. so we re looking, again, the second inauguration of president obama. high approval numbers, about the same that george w. bush had in the second term and i believe five points lower than what bill clinton experienced but a lot of members of congress back there today and it is groundhog day, whatever you want to call it all over again. yes. because if the 112th was the most polarizing, what do we expect out of the 113th? we expect it more. so one of obama s goals, we ll see if he repeats it in the inaugural address, to change the tone of washington. he couldn t do it in term one. ....
