Estonia-based NyxAir has signed a deal to lease its first ATR 72-500F from Nordic Aviation Capital as the carrier upsizes its freighter fleet. The aircraft is the 1998-vintage unit 541 (ex-Poste Air Cargo), Nordic Aviation Capital confirmed to Cargo Facts [FAT 008672]. Unit 541 has remained at Sonderborg (SGD) for storage since March 2022. Given that there is very little in the way of scheduled passenger service between FCO and TLV at the moment, it will be interesting to see if M4 maintains the route as the pandemic recedes and available cargo hold space increases as passenger flights again heavily connect the cities.
