Study of Over 600,000 Women Shows Almost Half Are Getting The Wrong UTI Treatment

Across the United States, in both rural and urban settings, most women with private health insurance are receiving inappropriate treatment for their urinary tract infections (UTIs), according to a new study. 
 
Of the 670,450 women included in this research, all of whom had been diagnosed with uncomplicated UTIs between the ages of 18 and 44, nearly half received the wrong antibiotics and over three quarters were prescribed the medicine for too long. (A UTI is declared uncomplicated when the patient has no abnormality or disease that could predispose them to more frequent infections.) ....

Doesn t seem to be an issue here in south ossetia pharmacies lined the streets the problem is none of them is licensed the individual prescribing medicine has not been trained as a pharmacist and the medicine itself legally speaking could not have been purchased legitimately through a regulated wholesaler so where s this medicine coming from. we met the owner of one of his illicit drug outlets who wanted to stay anonymous for fear of repercussions he admits to occasionally buying drugs from illegal briefcase sellers a major source of dangerous substandard medicines. they were selling it very close to. the. lower price the drugs they are selling are not but it is sort of that may be. from ....

100 percent evil, that those people really need this drug and it s going to make it tougher for them to get it? you are absolutely right. that is one of the unintended consequences of the crack down of the lavish prescribing of this drug. but you have to look at the diabolical nature of what happened here. the whole way oxycontin became so popular was it was a time release drug they said. they said it could not be abused. you take a pill and some comes out this hour and three hours from now some comes out six hours. it was obvious that what people would do just take more pills or cut the pills open and consume the opioid inside. it was a slam dunk, everybody knew it. if they didn t spend a billion dollars in evil lobbying to get the fda to approve this drug it never would have been approved. we need pain killers in this country. we need pain management. i m sure you have heard the same thing we have heard ....

Damage verdict. paul: kim, i think a lot of people looking at this say, you know what? this opioid scourging is really horrible, it s done tremendous damage to the country, to the social fabric, and you know what? somebody s got to pay. and the deep pockets are there, so they gotta pay. well, they re right in the first part in that the opioid epidemic is a real problem, and it is causing great devastation, and in particular certain areas of the country. but looking for a scapegoat is not the way to actually solve this problem. that s one of the other issues with this lawsuit and litigation is that, you know, it overlooks the fact that the vast majority of the opioid decision comes down addition comes down to illegal drugs which, obviously, is not the case with what johnson and johnson is prescribing. yeah, there s a lot of deep pockets here, but i think people should be more angry that you have, in my mind, attorney generals like mr. hunter who ....
