PITTSBURGH – An Alabama couple claim a Western Pennsylvania service station negligently closed a garage door on the head of the wife-plaintiff, causing her to suffer both a traumatic brain injury and others. Carol Adams and Richard Adams of Tuscaloosa, Ala. filed suit in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas on Jan. 4 versus Preston Motors, Inc., of New Castle. “On or about Jan. 7, 2019, at or around 11 a.m., plaintiff arrived at defendant’s service station in New Castle, Pennsylvania, for assistance with the tires of her vehicle, which she leases from defendant,” the suit says. “After plaintiff informed an employee of defendant that she needed air in her tires, he advised her to relocate her vehicle to the other side of the building to perform the service. As plaintiff was exiting the garage to relocate her vehicle, an employee of defendant began closing the garage door, which struck plaintiff in her head and caused her to fall backwards.”
