A helicopters been scooping up water from atison lake and dropping it on the fire. State Police Closed part of route 206 in the area because of the fire danger and smoke blowing across the road. Troopers also initially told some people who live and work nearby to evacuate. It was obvious the fire was going on and some ash was starting to fall and then the state police came by and suggested it would be a good idea to leave in case the fire jumped 206.
