Background: Incomplete vaccination can put children at greater risk of acquiring vaccine-preventable diseases. In Ethiopia, vaccination coverage against vaccine-preventable diseases is still a significant and persistent public health challenge. Thus, the aim of this study was to identify the determinants of incomplete childhood vaccination among children aged 12– 23 months in Gindhir District, Southeast Ethiopia.
Methods: A community-based unmatched case–control design was employed among children aged 12– 23 months from 1 to 28 February 2020. A total of 254 cases and 508 controls were included using the stratified rand ....

Covid-19: Virtual workshop on primary healthcare practices held| Times Of Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Primary Health Care (DGPHC) organized recently a virtual workshop on primary healthcare (PHC) practices amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The workshop was held in conjunction with World Health Day, which came under the theme Building a fairer, healthier world so that anyone can access the health services.
The workshop aimed to develop the appropriate mechanisms for follow-up and assessment in order to circulate them to all health institutions in both the government and private sectors.
H.E. Dr. Jean Jabbour, Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) Office in the Sultanate indicated that the PHC is the main pillar of the health system as it is the key entrance to health coverage.
