ISLAMABAD: To provide relief to the people, Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday rejected the Ogra s proposed increase in the petroleum products.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had proposed an increase of Rs14.07 per liter of petrol, Rs13.61 per liter of high speed diesel, Rs10.79 per liter of kerosene and Rs7.43 per liter of light diesel, says the Prime Minister Office.
It noted that in the interest of public welfare, the prime minister did not approve the proposal. âThe government will go to any lengths to provide relief to the people,â Imran Khan said. ....

(MENAFN - UkrinForm) Ukraine s Acting Energy Minister Yuriy Vitrenko has proposed that Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal submit for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers the issue of the dismissal of Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev and the termination of contracts with members of the company s supervisory board, according to Vitrenko s letter dated February 12, which was seen by the LB.UA online news site.
Vitrenko cited a number of reasons which, in his opinion, are the grounds for the dismissal of Kobolyev and the supervisory board. In particular, Naftogaz allegedly failed to meet the natural gas production target for 2020, which was approved by the strategy for the development of the gas production industry of Ukraine and provided for an increase in domestic natural gas production by 27.6 billion cubic meters by the end of 2020. ....

Karnataka MSMEs object to proposed hike in tariff by KERC
Bengaluru, Feb 16 (KNN) Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) has opposed the move by the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), which proposed a hike in tariff for the upcoming financial year, at the public hearing organised by the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC).
BESCOM has stated that the Gap for FY 22 is Rs 3556.64 crores and hence has requested the Commission to hike the tariff by 139 paise per unit for all category of consumers.
Objecting the move, KASSIA on Monday, said the proposed revision would come within five months, ending up discouraging industries, and sought the KERC to continue the existing tariff for another year. ....
