July 10, 2021 MULTAN: Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said that the parties in the PDM are not sincere with each other and claimed that there is no threat to the government from opposition. Talking to journalists at Multan Circuit House after laying foundation stone of 72 projects of Punjab Aab Pak Authority and rehabilitation of 11 filtration plants in collaboration with welfare organizations, the Punjab governor said that the opposition demanded elections, but when the government invited them to negotiate electoral reforms, they run away. Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar said that the promises made by the PTI government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide rights to the people of South Punjab would be fully implemented and all matters pertaining to South Punjab Secretariat were regulated. The provincial cabinet would give its approval in the next few days and after that a formal notification would be issued for the South Punjab Secretariat, he informed.

National December 31, 2020 LAHORE: Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) in promoting bilateral trade between the two countries with transfer of modern technology into Pakistan. In a meeting with PCJCCI president SM Naveed at Governor House here Wednesday, the governor discussed hurdles to promoting trade and investment relations between China and Pakistan. The meeting was attended by senior vice-president Daud Ahmed, vice-president Khalid Raffique Ch and executive members Moazzam Ali Ghurki and Zaki Ijaz of PCJCCI. The governor appreciated taking up PCJCCI proposals to federal and provincial departments concerned for successful implementation of PCJCCI progressive plans to strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations between Pakistan and China.

The opposition parties in the PDM were yet undecided whether to go for a long-march or tender resignations from assemblies, he responded, adding that the opposition parties were not in unison. About Nawaz Sharif’s repatriation to the country, Sarwar said he was not a seer and could predict anything about the return of Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan to face trial.
