Guantanamo prisoners to u. S. Soil. 166 prisoners remain in guantanamo, which opened 11 years ago this week. 86 of them have been cleared for release. Today we look at the case of one man, al jazeeras sami alhajj, the only journalist held at guantanamo. Held by the u. S. Military for more than six years without charge, sami alhajj was reportedly tortured repeatedly tortured, attack by dogs, hung from the ceiling.
