good evening and welcome to the bbc news at six. the government has signed a new deal with rwanda today, the latest attempt in plans to send some migrants there. the supreme court ruled the last version of the policy was against the law as migrants sent to rwanda would then be at risk of being sent back home dangerous countries. today the home secretary james cleverly insisted the new deal addressed those issues. but he couldn t guarantee that any flights carrying asylum seekers would take off before the next election. our political editor chris mason travelled with him to rwanda. this was james cleverly s first foreign trip as home secretary, but hang on a minute, a spot of east african deja vu. priti patel came here as home secretary in april of last year and suella braverman was here in march. three home secretaries making it to rwanda before a single migrant. last month, the supreme court said the rwanda plan was unlawful. this is what the government s hoped for sol ....
