Most Republican voters say they want President Donald Trump to
play a big role in the GOP moving forward, according to a new poll.
Three out of four Republicans want to see Trump become a more dominant figure within the party.
The new Quinnipiac University national poll was conducted Thursday through Sunday, during and after the acquittal of Trump in his Senate impeachment trial.
Only a fifth of those questioned in the survey says they don’t want the 45th president to continue to play a key role in the Republican Party he reshaped and ruled over during his historical four years in the White House. ....
