Several parts of Delhi and nearby areas witnessed heavy rainfall along with thunderstorm today morning bringing relief to people from the summer heat.
"Heat wave conditions in isolated pockets are very likely over Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. (There would be) abatement of heat wave conditions over the (entire) Indian region from May 21," IMD said.
IMD pointed out that the presence of cyclonic circulations over Lakshadweep and north Tamil Nadu coast are expected to bring widespread rainfall in the next five days.

"Southwest Monsoon is likely to advance into South Andaman Sea & adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal around 15th May, 2022," IMD said.
