KKRTC proposes to buy 250 new buses to meet passenger demand and compete with private travel agencies. The economic boost from the Shakthi scheme has led to this decision. Last year, 854 new buses were added, and now KKRTC plans to enhance its fleet with high-end buses. The process of acquiring more buses has slowed down temporarily but will resume soon. KKRTC's revenue has increased with the addition of new buses, and it aims to recruit more drivers and conductors to meet the growing demand.

North-Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) is set to introduce over 350 electric buses in Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi to provide better and luxurious service to commuters. The initiative aims to reduce emissions, improve performance, and enhance the financial condition of the Corporation.

Pmpml Cng Bus: Ramesh Chavan, chief engineer, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), said, “The transport utility has not got any new bus for more than a year now. The PMPML will own these 100 CNG buses. The tender for the same has been floated and we will start getting them from April. The whole procurement will be completed by July.”

Along with tight police security, arrangements like free buses from visitors, drinking water tankers, health, medical and sanitation facilities, fire tenders, ambulances, were in place.
