Urging prospective employers to not ask job applicants whether they are convicted felons. Ey call the Initiative Ban the box. It refers to the box on applications that asks if youre a convicted felon. Members of the human rights commissio asked the Dubuque City Council to discuss that inititative. The council talked about it at yesterdays meeting, but the commission isnt asking the city to change a law or ordinance. It says it just wants a discussion.
