Democratic senator Tammy Duckworth spoke from the floor about her personal experiences having children through in vitro fertilization and asked unanimous consent for the senate to pass her bill to protect access to other assisted Reproductive Technology services nationwide. Mississippi republican senators objected to the request to saying the bill went too far beyond and ensuring legal access. Other Democratic Senators also weighed in on the topic.
