There were almost 100 presentations in various areas of technology. These represent work carried out, mainly in United States, in National Labs, Universities and companies. Because most of the academic work in bioeconomy is mainly funded by the Department of Energy (DOE), this brief report puts first in perspective the strategic goals of DOE.
