Good morning everyone. The rain is pounding down on our back deck. I don’t know when it started to rain, but it was raining when I got up at 6:30. It is Wednesday morning instead of Thursday because tomorrow I have two doctor appointments in Altoona, so I don’t think I will have enough time to write. Beverly’s Touch of Class celebrated its 15th anniversary on Tuesday. The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce held a celebration for the business at the shop, which also included cupcakes made in the shape of a dress. Stewart A convicted felon is facing firearms-related charges after allegedly lying to Freedom Township police Thursday about owning a handgun found in his car, court documents stated. The commissioners doubled a fee collected by the Blair County Recorder of Deeds on all mortgages and deeds recorded in the county office. The present fee is $7.50, but as of July 1, it will be $15 per document. That increase means the charge on filing a deed transfer or mortgage will go from $79.25 to $86.75.
