Keokuk Man Arrested for OWI, Driving on Wrong Side of Hwy 218
A Keokuk man was arrested after driving the wrong way several times on Highway 218 Saturday afternoon. According to the Washington County Communications Center, at about 3:29 p.m. dispatch was informed of a driver traveling in the wrong lane of traffic, at high rates of speed, and also driving on the shoulder of the roadway. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 57-year-old Robert Lee Gregory on a traffic stop near Vine Avenue on charges of operating while intoxicated second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, with citations for driving the wrong way on a two-way highway, no insur...
