With competition promising to get ever more cutthroat the world’s sixth-largest space agency is looking at SSLV and reusable rockets to retain India’s position as a low-cost satellite launch hub.

The head of India’s space agency has indicated the entire design and manufacturing of the reusable rocket would happen in close collaboration with the industry, which will also have to take on the responsibility of operating it commercially.
