A funeral service was held for Private first-class Roy Searle at the South Florida National Cemetery Wednesday in Lake Worth. Searle was a soldier that died in 1944 during World War II.
Roy Searle was only 22 when he was killed in combat during World War II in December of 1944. But it would be more almost 80 years before DNA identified his remains so that he could receive a proper burial in Palm Beach County.
