I want to see clear, improved guidance. i want to see schools able to contact somebody for advice when they are having to make a decision. you need to understand, it is the best way of preventing another generation of suffering. for schools, the challenge is notjust about how to support young people who say they ve suffered abuse. it s also about how to deal with those who ve been accused. nine out of ten are boys. we have to remember that the boys who have been part of this are primarily teenage boys. some of them have done things which are wrong and they need to be brought tojustice on that, but also not to be put on the rubbish tip forever. they are young people. young people need to be able to make mistakes and learn from that that is part of growing up. and so i think schools need to help those young men with that. so on the one hand, punish them for what they ve done wrong but help them going forward.
