This opportunity is for one of Flexability’s clients.  Summary: The Silicon Valley office is seeking a 5th-year level associate to join the San Francisco Litigation Group. This associate will be litigating, managing, and trying complex matters, and working in a busy, collegial litigation group focused on expanding its strong practice. This new associate will be slotted into existing and new litigation matters, where responsibilities will include managing and supervising cases and junior associates, developing and executing case strategies and plans, handling all aspects of litigation (fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, experts, motions, pretrial, trial, settlement and so on), and developing and maintaining strong business and client relationships. Litigation types including antitrust and unfair competition; construction and insurance recovery; intellectual property; labor and employment; product liability; real estate; securities; white-collar/investigations; and general commercial litigation. The successful candidate must have strong academic credentials, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must have superior oral advocacy, research and writing, analytical, and organizational and time management skills; and must have excellent judgment and decision-making skills. Just as important, the candidate must be committed to developing and growing his or her practice and expertise in a fast-paced group that provides the highest level of client service. The candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academics, and be a member of the California State Bar in good standing. Finally, previous or current employment with an Am Law 100 firm or as a judicial clerk is desired.
