SBI: SBI to acquire 20% additional stake in SBI Pension Funds for around Rs 230 crore

Currently, SBI holds a 60% stake in SBI Pension Funds. The bank will acquire the 20% stake held by SBICAPS, its wholly-owned subsidiary. Besides SBI and SBICAPS, SBI Funds Management owns a 20% stake in SBI Pension Funds.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said that Indian companies can now go in for direct listing on foreign exchanges and the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Ahmedabad. The provisions for direct overseas listing were approved by the government, as part of the Covid relief package announced in May 2020, but the rules in this regard are yet to be notified, reported PTI.

Franklin Templeton unitholders to get Rs 2,962 cr in second tranche

SBI Funds Management (SBI MF) will distribute the next tranche of Rs 2,962 crore to unitholders of Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund's six shuttered schemes during the coming week.
SBI MF has already distributed Rs 9,122 crore to investors as directed by the Supreme Court earlier.
"SBI MF would be distributing the next tranche of Rs 2,962 crore to unitholders across all six schemes.
"The payment to all investors whose accounts are KYC compliant with all details available will be made during the week of April 12, 2021," a Franklin Templeton MF spokesperson said on Sunday.
The amount to be paid to unitholders will be paid by extinguishing proportionate units at the net asset value dated April 9, he added.

The fund house had shut six debt mutual fund schemes on April 23 last year, citing redemption pressures and lack of liquidity in the bond market.
Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund has said its six shut schemes have received ₹15,272 crore from maturities, coupons and pre-payments since closing down in April 2020.
The schemes – Franklin India Low Duration Fund, Franklin India Dynamic Accrual Fund, Franklin India Credit Risk Fund, Franklin India Short Term Income Plan, Franklin India Ultra Short Bond Fund, and Franklin India Income Opportunities Fund – together had an estimated ₹25,000 crore as AUM.
