A public apology followed by a private resignation. This was not totally unexpected, was it . Pressure had certainly been mounting, a very different resignation or personnel shift than the one that we just heard from spokesman jay carney stepping down and josh earnest taking over. This week a lot of pressure for the secretary to step down. We saw that inspector generals report, we had dozens of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle calling for it.
