Fort Madison, IA- The Fort Madison Police Department has announced the arrest of a Coralville man stemming from a 2021 investigation into the sexual abuse of a minor. According to a news release, 54-year-old Scott Barnum of Coralville was arrested Wednesday, May 17th, by the University of Iowa Police Department and extradited back to the Lee County Jail. Barnum is charged with 3rd Degree Sex Abuse of a Child and Enticing a Minor. Barnum was previously unidentified until March of 2023 when Fort Madison Police detectives were able to connect Barnum to the case. On April 1st, a search warrant was conducted on Barnum's residence in Coralville, and he was interviewed at the time. ....
