Right now the hurricane center has upped the chances to 30%. it could bring additional rain, clouds, and windy conditions, and rough surf. this is kind of what it looks like. we have that storm developing off the coast, more heavy rain in the southeast, and as that storm off the coast kind of combines with the other storm, it looks like a really nasty saturday, especially for our friends all the way through the outer banks down through wilmington, newburgh, and morehead. it looks like an ugly sunday. we may get rainfall in new york city, long island, and southern new england on sunday too. we ll have to keep an eye on the earn seaboard. the forecast goes like this. today, no problems, beautiful day, d.c. all the way through new england. still very warm. look how hot it is in the middle ....

Atlantic. tropical storm peter. don t think this will have any impacts across the u.s. seaboard. it looks like will stay offshore. this one comes together it will be rose. pete rose, i think a game they re playing with this one. warm across central part of the country and mortgagees feeling a little bit more like fall this week. areas of the pacific northwest feeling much cooler. yesterday we had really extensive flooding rains across parts of alabama. we ll see that into northern alabama. parts of southern tennessee and watch this really significant rain coming in across parts of the northwest. over an inch of rain across a lot of spots. good news for all the fires going on. a little bit more rain today. it begins to calm down. we ll see some of it moving towards the northern rockies with a little bit of snow. guys, back to you. rachel: coming up, thanks, rick. will: thank you, rick. ....

Seaboard, some big swells. the atlantic system while it will likely develop once it s back out here across areas say towards the western atlantic, we re going to talk about conditions becoming very unfavorable for that one to develop. so, good news, for being in the big hurricane season, right now, things are looking calm and we definitely need that especially across parts of the south and that said we need rain the next four to five days and we ll see pretty scattered showers across parts of the central gulf, the area hit by the hurricane a few weeks ago. now, one other story we re watching, this is great news, generally we re seeing the pacific northwest around october. we re having an early first storm. take a look at this, very heavy rain and seeing some high mountain snow and this is an area that has seen so many of the fires that s caused smoke conditions and breathing conditions all the way across the central and eastern part of the country. take a look at this, the next week or ....

Is not optional, the time is now, and that this is urgent and that we need to pass this legislation. yeah, let s talk about those efforts because there are at least 17 states that are passing laws trying to restrict voting, and a new york times article from this week says these new restrictions would never have made it this far in the 60s because of a ruling by the supreme court in 2013 saying racial discrimination was no longer a threat in the u.s., thus lifting the requirement that states with a history of racial discrimination had to get approval from the justice department before changing voting laws. so are we going backwards? yes. i mean the gutting of the voting rights act by the supreme court is tragic. we know that as soon as that happened there are states that went back to their previous discriminatory practices. we saw hundreds of polling locations across the southeastern seaboard of the united states close down. we saw rules change, and i think that it is really impo ....
