A series of giant patchwork quilts, stitched by Lewisham residents, have been put on display in the window of Deptford Lounge. The colourful quilts were stitched by members of the community as part of the 12-week Patched Together project, run by sewing school Make Mee Studio. During lockdown the company delivered free textile kits across Lewisham, working with Voluntary Services Lewisham, Evelyn Community Store, Mind, Bring Me Sunshine and others. Lewisham firefighters have been busy over lockdown. Firefighting crews in Lewisham have managed to deliver over 400 food parcels to vulnerable residents during the Covid-19 pandemic.
