Supreme Court today told the Delhi government that it would consider listing its plea challenging the central government's law establishing pre-eminence of the Lieutenant Governor over the elected dispensation in controlling services.

The Supreme Court has ordered both the Delhi government and the central government to file a common compilation of submissions in a petition challenging the law establishing the pre-eminence of the lieutenant governor over the elected AAP dispensation in controlling services in Delhi. The court has also urged for a five-judge Constitution bench to be set up for an urgent hearing. The court has asked the parties to prepare their submissions within four weeks and appointed a nodal counsel for the case.
