The complete national forecast. i m joined by jeff morrow. good morning. good morning, alex. if you re like most of the people over the midwest and the south, you re probably tired of the long, hot summer that we ve been having. unfortunately, more heat today. what you have behind me heat advisories and warnings. that would be the darker shader across the southern plains and up into parts of the midwest. now, we are going to get relief in the form of thunderstorms here and there. i want to mention we actually are starting to heat up in the pacific northwest as well. you wouldn t think that, but seattle and portland under heat advisories and warnings as well. as far as the big thunderstorms are concerned, again, some of the showers and storms will break the heat across the south. but the biggest threat of severe weather today, like what you were showing in manhattan, kansas, would be today in ohio, around pittsburgh, pennsylvania area, western p.a., western new york. not out of the qu ....
