India Pavilion at Cannes designed by NID team from Ahmedabad returns to its roots inspired by the theme of 'Sutradhaar' from Natya Shastra, showcasing India's soft power and cultural heritage at the Cannes Film Festival. The pavilion reflects the art of Indian cinema and government initiatives to support cinema and culture.
The NID statement said, “The pavilion design is inspired by the Saraswati Yantra, the abstract representation of Goddess Saraswati, keeper of knowledge, music, art, speech wisdom and learning...”.
