Pride of India's incredible journey

The story of the Pride of India football club can be likened to an endurance race filled with adventure, pathos and high achievement. The club was founded two decades after Stars was established in 1902. Four clubs — Stars, Standards, Colonials and Victorians — plied their trade at the North End, “Camel Back” and Showgrounds initially.

Auckland Business Chamber boss Michael Barnett questions why the Cornwall Park Trust is pursuing rent hikes against the likes of the ASB Showgrounds "unless they have another agenda".
The non-profit showgrounds board has warned it
is struggling to see how the 8ha non-profit exhibition and events site can remain solvent in the face of a massive proposed rent hike by its landlord, the Cornwall Park Trust, and a string of major event cancellations due to Covid-19.

The future of Auckland's ASB Showgrounds is at risk as the board that runs the premiere exhibition site struggles to see how it can remain solvent in the face of major event cancellations due to
Covid-19 and a proposed massive rent hike.
The non-profit charity operates the 8 hectare showgrounds at Cornwall Park commercially - its only income is from shows, events and concerts.

Ruahine School's Crazy Chickens beat 15 other teams to win the East Coast AgriKids Competition at the Hawke's Bay Showgrounds on Saturday, February 13, run in conjunction with the East Coast Young Farmer Competition.
The team comprised Riley Finucane, 12, Georgie Hogan, 11, and Gemma Barrow, 11, and were very surprised with their win as they came only fifth in the final runoff but they had such good scores in the preceding modules they finished on top.
