Wilmington College’s WAVE project, in which science students are sampling and testing water quality in local streams while seeking pollution mitigation measures, garnered a triad of major awards at Thursday’s (May 2) 13th Annual Research Forum. Some 80 students showcased their research conducted as individuals, groups and with faculty members through poster presentations and other media.
2023 NCAA DIII Cross Country Regional Championships Saturday Recap
The Wilmington College men's cross country team traveled to the home of the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern for the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships. The Quakers took home fifth place as a team at Hillcrest Golf Club, finishing less than 20 points behind fourth place Otterbein. John Carroll claimed the victory with 25 points, with Ohio Northern and Mount Union finishing in a tie for second place with 73 total points.
After a weekend that saw him place first out of 377 runners with a time of 24:46.1 at the NCAA DIII Pre-Nationals meet, Wilmington College Quakers senior Simon Heys earned some much-deserved honors Monday afternoon.
