Schaeffer to be awarded honorary doctorate at WT spring commencement WTAMU Newsroom CANYON Prominent regional businessman and philanthropist Stanley Schaeffer will be awarded an honorary doctorate on Saturday by his alma mater, West Texas A&M University. Schaeffer will be presented an honorary doctorate of business administration during the second of three outdoor, in-person commencement ceremonies at Buffalo Stadium on WT’s Canyon campus.
