Endeavors Pride Powers Home At Buffalo | Standardbred Canada

After being claimed for $17,500 last week by owner Michael Torcello, Endeavors Pride made his first return on that investment by winning Buffalo Raceway's featured $11,300 Class AA-Open Handicapped Pace on Saturday night (May 29).
Black Is Back worked hard but eventually got to the lead in the main event, setting the tempo with fractions of :28.1, :56.3 and 1:25.3 over the "good" track. Endeavors Pride was widest of all in the lane, decisively outpacing Daylight Rush and Black Is Back in 1:54.3 to win by a solid length.
Endeavors Pride (Keystone Endeavor-Gingerbread Square) is a seven-year-old gelding that has now produced $16,071 in earnings on the campaign and $186,207 in his career. Gerry Sarama trains the $17.00 while Jim Morrill Jr. sat in the bike.

Stratosphere Strong At Buffalo | Standardbred Canada

Stratosphere was shot into orbit by driver Drew Monti right before the opening panel, and that bold brush proved to be the difference as the six-year-old gelding collected the victory in Buffalo Raceway's $11,000 Class AA-Open Handicapped Pace on Saturday night (May 22).
Sitting third behind Santana Beach and Thor De Vie approaching the opening marker, Stratosphere wasn't pleased with the action on the front so he took control of matters, firing to the lead.
With splits of :28.4, :57.2 and 1:26, Stratosphere was ready to face the challenges that awaited him in the home stretch. Daylight Rush gave it a good try but couldn't get by Stratosphere as he finished a half length in front in 1:54.1. Santana Beach and Under Paid finished in a dead heat for third.

There was no breather for Stratosphere in Buffalo Raceway's $10,500 Class AA-Open Handicapped Pace on Saturday night (April 24), but he was more than up to the persistent challenges in taking a half-length win over Mr Ham Sandwich in 1:54.1, the fastest mile of the 2021 meet.
After collecting the lead just before the opening panel, Stratosphere (Drew Monti) was under constant siege during the entire tour around the half-mile oval.
First it was Santana Beach who parked alongside Stratosphere for the first half. After Santana Beach threw in the towel, Mr Ham Sandwich and Iluvtomakemoney then took their turns at Stratosphere.
While giving it their best shots, Stratosphere was more than up for the challenge and gamely crossed the finish line ahead of Mr Ham Sandwich and Iluvtomakemoney.

Batavia, NY --- Despite wintry conditions and a sloppy track, driver Ray Fisher Jr. was on top of his game and delivered five horses to the harness racing winner's circle at Batavia Downs on Wednesday night (Dec. 9) including three straight winners in races two through four for the natural hat trick.
Fisher's top score was in the $10,200 Open I Handicap trot with CR Blazin Beauty, who bolted right to the front and called all the shots. With the two post time favorites making breaks before the quarter, CR Blazin Beauty went unchallenged through fractions of :28.2, :59 and 1:27.4 and then turned for home with a four-length lead. From there she trotted to the wire under wraps to win in 1:59.1.
