NASA has predicted the blue-whale-size asteroid will safely pass Earth by a significant distance of over 2.2 million miles (3.5 million kilometers).
The new tool allows the detection of previously unknown asteroids without the actual use of telescopes or any space observation equipment.
NASA estimates the asteroid to have the size of a standard bridge, enough to cause widespread damage in case an asteroid impact occurs.
The giant asteroid has been estimated to approach Earth in the next several hours. Asteroid 388945 (2008 TZ3) is projected to "dangerously" approach Earth in the next few hours but with an estimated safe passage on our planet's orbit this coming weekend.
