目前加拿大对多数国家仍关闭国门，将至少持续到7月21日。总理特鲁多14日表示，对开放边境采取审慎态度；特鲁多上周强调，短期内不会允许未接种疫苗的外国游客无条件进入加拿大。
加拿大国家免疫咨询委员会在6月1日发布新接种规定，允许第一剂施打阿斯利康疫苗的民众，第二剂可施打mRNA技术的莫德纳或辉瑞疫苗；而首剂施打莫德纳或辉瑞者，官方建议是两剂施打相同厂牌，但若因疫苗数量少而不易取得，可以施打另一款mRNA疫苗，例如首剂莫德纳、第二剂辉瑞，反之亦然。

达尔豪斯大学传染病学家巴雷特表示，目前为止，实际数据显示混打是安全的，随著时间过去，会有更多关于长期效力、适当剂量等细节研究出炉。

法國研究發現：在肺炎爆發前有補充維生素D的人，日後病況比較不嚴重，死亡風險也比較低。
民眾積極補充維生素D3，曬太陽之，素食者可吃被曬過的香菇。還有一個現象值得關注：肥胖、糖尿病、高血壓患者的維生素D含量，明顯比健康民眾還少，罹患Covid-19後，得到重症與死亡的風險比較高。

抗印度變種病毒提高免疫力金三角之「鋅」
武真武醫師特別強調「鋅」，當新冠病毒進入細胞後，需要RNA（中文：核醣核酸）聚合酶，來進行病毒複製，「鋅」可以抑制RNA聚合酶，有效抑制病毒複製能力。且「鋅」可以使病毒變得溫和，能幫助身體的免疫系統，在不過度產生免疫反應的情況下破壞病毒。因此可透過攝取「鋅」來增加預防新冠肺炎的能力。
英國免疫學教授Philip C. Calder指出，「鋅」具有某些特定的抗病毒作用，有助提升免疫系統及控制炎症。
歐洲國家研究發現，一般人正常血中鋅的濃度是105.8ugd/L, 而新冠肺炎患者鋅的血中濃度明顯低下在74.5ug/DL。
「鋅」能對附著在喉嚨黏膜的病毒產生抑制作用
西班牙的研究顯示，新冠肺炎患者在入院時，血中鋅的濃度每升高一個單位，就可降低7%死亡
