Eight district or a similar situation on the other side that reshuffled the map a little bit, and these parties are having to make in some cases very difficult last minute calculations about where their money is best spent. and speaking of fundraising, axios is reporting that democrats are bringing in huge amounts of campaign cash. where are they spending it? yeah, i mean, across the board you see on the senate side, democratic candidates have been good at small dollar funding. rafael warnock in georgia, mark kelly in arizona. and they re all really strong fundraisers. on the republican side, in contrast, you see their washington outside based spending groups, party committees are putting up the big dollars. the difference there is this money on the democratic side is going directly into their most ....
Campaign. doesn t count for outside spending groups. jeb bush is cutting back on some spending. donors have yet to see a return on their spending and a more frugal operation ahead. staffers were taking pay cuts and the candidate will be taking more commercial flights and stay in cheap hotels. bush s campaign reported a strong 13.4 million this quarter out pacing cruz and rubio. his super pack reported raising more than $100 million last quarter will spend big in the plans. the concern with the bush campaign just this week is they re putting all this money into adds and the numbers aren t moving. let s not forget $20 million by ....
the supreme court always rejected that argument money isn t speech. in the case that upheld contribution limits they struck down expenditure limits on the ground the ability to spend as much money as you can to deliver a message is fundamental. i was going to point out we spent the past two year with the left griping about this dark money going into these independent spending groups. they should be celebrating because this is an opening for more of the money to be distributed more widely to candidates without affecting that base limit. also to give more money to the political parties which is more accountable, also disclosed, and has potentially moderating influence. colin s last point is new. the political parties were disadvantaged by citizens united. both democrats and republicans are going to get much more money into their party organizations than they had previously. i think that is going to be good for american politics if the parties are more engaged. ....
They come out and say, thank god for the sun. otherwise it would have been bad. but always have a convenient weather excuse i m not saying it s not justified. it s been a horrible quarter, but do you think they overdo it? well, this season i will cut them a break, okay? jc penney had 300 stores close wh activity was at its highest. wal-mart had over 200 stores close. so if you can t get to the store you can t buy anything, and when you get there you re seeing a lot of out of stock, and because of the bad weather they can t get the stock to the stores quick enough. if it s not there, you can t buy it. so weather is partly to blame but you have to harp on the economic fact. it s not a normal recovery by any stretch of the imagination. you mentioned the price points from the dollar store up. seems to be consistent inning all spending groups. not saying people can t buy ....
