in monterey park, a suburb just east of los angeles. let s get right to cnn national correspondent camila bernal on the scene this morning. it s very early in the investigation, but what do we know right now? reporter: yeah, amara, boris, information is very limited, but as you mentioned we just got confirmation from the l.a. county sheriff s department that nine people have been killed. we know this shooting happened around 10:22 last night. there are homicide detectives on the scene already. and we also know from the sheriff s department that the suspect is a man. we do not know whether or not that suspect is in custody or they re still looking for that person because, again, information has been extremely limited from authorities. we have been waiting for a couple of hours now to get that information. and there is someone here from the sheriff s department that is expected to talk to the media fairly soon. so we are waiting for that information. the streets in this ....
