Massive water pipe rupture in hayward last sunday. A rupture that occurred right along this fault. It ripped this street creating a large sink hole and creating a fast moving river of water, mud and rocks. Check this picture, it shows where the fault is relative to the pipe failure. This one was taken before sundays break of a suring right across the street that shifted due to seismic creep. Bill says its happening all the time on the hayward fault.
