Charles Melvin “Chuck” Childs, age 75 of Sandy Township, died Friday, February 2, 2024 surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born September 23, 1948 in Duluth, the son of Maxwell and Gladys (Stevens) Childs. Chuck grew up in Duluth and moved to the Iron Range in the mid-seventies. He was employed by Staver Foundry and owned and operated the Unique and Antique store and C&S Pawn. He was a member of the Trap Club, served as a Union President; and was a longtime president of the Iron Range Chapter of the BPM’s and was a member for over 40 years. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. ....
