'Call My Agent' one of the best show on Netflix

‘Call My Agent’ one of the best show on Netflix
The French hit series is a burst of talent, emotions, glamour and Parisian madness
It was in January 2021 that Netflix acquired rights to and released France’s breakthrough show
Call My Agent! (Originally titled Dix pour cent) –– four seasons of the subtle yet chaotic world of a talent agency ASK named after its founding member Samuel Kerr. While the show begins with the death of said founding member, four remaining agents Andrea (Camille Cottin), Gabriel (Gregory Montel), Mathias (Thibault de Montalembert) and Arlette (Liliane Rovere) struggle to keep the company afloat amid tax audits and persnickety actors with some real and some avant-garde problems.

Hello! Magazine
Call My Agent will be returning for a fifth season - and a film! The exciting news was certainly an unexpected one after it appeared that the fourth season was the show's cast.
Speaking about the update, the chief executive of Mediawan Studios, Thomas Anargyros, told Europe 1: "We’re making great progress [on the film. We want to produce it this year, and we’re looking to air it likely at the end of the year or early next year. And we’ll move forward with a new season for Call My Agent."

The Abraham Accords marked a historic turning point after decades of Arab and Muslim antisemitism. This year, for the first...
The only real moment of suspense occurs when a police officer shows up, and then when a rabbi shows up and finds himself at the right place at the wrong time. He surely regrets lending an ear to this family on this occasion.
I would have liked Noya (Shani Atias) to have a bigger role, but she is effective. Guy Adler (who looks like an Israeli Brad Pitt) plays Ilan, a naive guy who gets betrayed and can’t believe it.

That feeling when you have eaten all the candy in the house and you look on the doorstep to find that someone has sent you a 1-pound box of assorted nuts and chews is pretty much how I felt learning that a fourth season of "Call My Agent" had landed on Netflix.
The series, called "Dix Pour Cent" ("Ten Percent") in its native France, first came to my attention a couple of summers ago, by word of mouth, when the first two seasons were available. It was quickly clear that this was a series that had my name on it, handwritten and bordered in gold, presented on a dish made of silver. Set in a Paris-based talent agency, it is salted, after the manner of "The Larry Sanders Show," with real French screen stars, including Isabelle Adjani, Juliette Binoche, Fabrice Luchini, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Jean Reno (and in the latest season, American Sigourney Weaver) playing ironic versions of themselves, and shot in real Paris locations. And though it is obviously not completely original — it's a workplace comedy in more than one television tradition — it's also different in the way that one language is different from another even when a sentence says the same thing.

An insider’s account of show business that isn’t about sex, scandal and sordidness? It’s possible and hugely entertaining too, as the series
Call My Agent! proves.
Originally made for French television,
Call My Agent! is being globally streamed by Netflix. As the title indicates, the show isn’t about actors – although each episode features some of French cinema’s biggest names – but the men and women who manage their careers, keep them out of trouble or sometimes get them into a soup.
The witty and insightful series revolves around the fictional ASK talent management agency in Paris. In the first episode, ASK’s founder dies, leaving behind debt and a bunch of squabbling associates.
