New Sterling TA no stranger to small towns

Danielle Ray
STERLING — Kellie Hebert was sworn in as the new town administrator on Dec. 1.
Hebert brings 30 years of municipal experience to the job, including six as a town administrator.
“I was confident that my qualifications, education and background would be well-suited for the role in Sterling,” Hebert said of the inspiration behind applying for the job. “I was honored to be selected.”
Hebert said that while she is not from a small town herself, she enjoyed the experience of working in the towns of Topsfield, Belmont and Chelmsford.
“My early work in Boston and Lowell provided a great foundation for my career, yet my recent accomplishments in smaller communities have been particularly impactful to me,” she said. “Smaller towns require managers who are skilled in multiple functional areas and are comfortable wearing many hats. My background in finance, HR and constituent services will serve me well as I begin the next chapter of my public service career in the town of Sterling.”
