Alameda county fire along with several agencies were part of the efforts and because of the fog and rain and wind, they were not able to hear the aircraft to help locate the wreckage. Officials believe the weather may have played a role in this crash. A sheriffs spokesperson describes the scene. Its a large area of wreckage.
