Oil and gas exploration firm Strike Energy has signed an agreement with Wesfarmers subsidiary CSBP to convert its gas supply option to a firm 100 petajoule (PJ) gas offtake arrangement at a rate of 25 terajoules/day (TJ/d) over a period of 11 years.
Australian independent Strike Energy aims to increase output at its Walyering project in Western Australia (WA) state well beyond its present nameplate capacity, while carrying out a review of its South Erregulla field following disappointing test results.
The move follows Strike achieving a maximum capacity of 33 terajoules/day and 265 barrels/day of condensate at at its Walyering gas field in Western Australia
The gas will be supplied to South32's Worsley Alumina joint venture and AGL's Perth Energy.
