Carnegie-Knight News21, a national reporting initiative headquartered at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, today launched an in-depth look at the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. 

As the anniversary of the reversal of Roe v. Wade approaches, 25 journalists from universities across the U.S. have gathered at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication to embark on a national project examining the impact of the case that eliminated a constitutional right to abortion. 

Cronkite News has won a Student Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Audio Newscast for its Cronkite News 2Go podcast. The winning podcast episode, which aired nine months ago, covered a range of pressing stories including a story about  U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar, a Republican from Prescott, who shared an altered video of him striking U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with a sword. The episode also included a story about state dollars being used for transitional housing, and an update on the COVID-19 surge.
