Regulations for tourist travel in Sri Lanka, amended

Chief Epidemiologist of the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, Dr. Sudath Samaraweera stated that the regulations imposed on the travellers that arrive in Sri Lanka were amended.
He noted that travellers must be subjected to PCR test 96 hours before arriving in the country and that they must produce a negative result to be allowed to enter the country. They will also be subjected to another PCR test once they arrive in Sri Lanka as well.
Afterwards, they will be directed to their allocated accommodation where they can spend their days in leisure.
However, another the tourists will be subjected to PCR testing after 5-7 days and 12-14 days. Given that they test negative for all the PCR tests, the tourists will be allowed to freely travel across the island. ....
