Just before 11pm on thursday, the driver of this dump truck was travelling southbound on 101 with his trailer in the up position. When he reached the embarcadero road overpass the trailer slammed into the structure. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. When the trailer was pulled away from the overpass, crews found a 25 foot crack in the concrete. Through out the day on friday, caltrans engineers and crews examined the damage and found that it was even worse than they first suspected.
